Event Description
Objectives:
- Equip officers with the skills to use the GTAS platform to conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis, moving beyond high-level statistics to granular, actionable insights.
- Train officers to systematically uncover and qualify new export leads, potential partners, and underserved market niches for Malaysian goods and services.
- Officers will be able to use macro trade data to pinpoint the fastest-growing global markets for specific Malaysian products, analyse Malaysia's competitive position, and monitor trade flow trends to advise exporters on where to focus their efforts.
- Using transactional shipment data, officers will be able to move beyond general market analysis to identify and build lists of specific, active overseas importers, see who their competitors are supplying, and vet potential partners by analyzing their actual trade volumes.
- Officers will be equipped to provide Malaysian companies with concrete, evidence-based recommendations, developing compelling reports that map out competitors' supply chains, highlight specific customer targets, and use forecasting tools to build a strong case for entering a new market.
